THIS POSITION IS BASED IN FT.
LARAMIE, WY
As a Construction Manager you will ensure projects are delivered successfully and on time.
You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other key departments to define project needs and oversee staff performance.
You will be responsible for driving schedules and budgets, while setting high expectations among your teams for safety, quality, and team development.
Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
Coordinates and supervises all jobsite construction activities.
Coordinates and communicates with internal and external engineering teams.
Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, document control, engineering drawings and other documents, field estimates, subcontracting and procurement, and contract administration.
Maintains construction schedule, identifies, and solves problems.
Understands the project plan and specifications.
Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
Prepares, schedules, and supervises completion of a final punch list.
Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
Maintains an organized job site, including the construction office.
Coordinates with the Procurement Department to order materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process.
Travel will be required.
Qualifications:
Strong experience in Leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration.
8+ years’ construction experience with 3+ years being in a Construction Management/Leadership capacity.
Must have civil/mechanical knowledge and/or experience.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be a team player.
Must be able to problem solve and resolve conflict.
Must be able to forecast and plan-ahead.
Ability to quickly learn and understand various process regarding Strobel’s policies, procedures and software programs.
Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
