About the Role
The Safety Coordinator Internship position is responsible for assisting Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Business Partners to develop and implement health and safety programs for multiple divisions that are aligned to the Company’s objectives.
This position will be responsible for assisting with performing compliance and record-keeping administrative tasks, while expanding your knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Workers Comp guidelines.
With guidance and supervision, you will have the opportunity to actively assist in continuous improvement initiatives and act with urgency to assist with determining sustainable solutions to issues.
Who you are:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Science in Safety, Industrial Safety, or relevant coursework
Agricultural knowledge preferred.
Ability to travel – anticipate 30-50% travel to facility locations will be needed (Scoular will assist with travel expenses)
Opportunity to manage site emergency responses.
Must show initiative and ability to perform in a fast-paced, ever-changing workplace.
Data collection and analytical skills to help with incident trends and data collection.
Working knowledge of Occupational Safety Health Administration (O.
S.
H.
A.
) requirements.
Manage return to work and incident investigations.
Review Contractor Safety Prequalification data.
